Considerations and Limitations...

  • Eczema

  • Scar Tissue and severe skin damage can affect the outcome, or how many appointments are required.

  • Psoriasis

  • Dermatitis

  • Rosacea, The skin bleeds easy and will not retain color well in my experience.

  • Severely oily skin will not hold  hair strokes well. Powder/Ombre brows are a much better option for this skin type.

  • Fitzpatrick Skin types 1 (red heads/translucent skin/light eyes) are not a great fit for the microblading technique.

  • Users of Accutane or Retin-A (acne medication) within the last year. Must wait 1 year before treatment

  • Retinol or Vitamin A used, discontinue use 1 month prior to treatment.

  • The skin must NOT by sunburned or damaged

  • Must discontinue use of any eyelash/eyebrow growth conditioner, if not the skin can be hypersensitive with increased bleeding .

MEDICAL CONDITIONS TO CONSIDER PRIOR....

  • Pregnant or nursing (at risk and sensitive due to change in hormones)

  • Hemophilia (bleeding risk)

  • Heart Conditions/Pace Maker/Defibrillator

  • Bleeding disorders (increased bleeding which prevents color deposit)

  • Trichotillomania(Compulsive pulling of body hair)

  • Using Glaucoma eye drops (eyelash follicles and eyelids are hypersensitive, will bleed easily, and color will not retain)

  • Accutane

  • Retin-A

  • Blood Thinners can affect retention, please talk to your artist about your condition and dosage prior to the service.
